Dr Tao Wei Introduction
Dr Tao Wei is a research scientist at Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), Australia after got the PhD from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 1997 and finished the postdoc research at University of NSW, Australia in 2002. Since then he has carried out the research activities ranging from accelerator mass spectrometry projects to surveillance programs for the structure integrity of ANSTO’s OPAL nuclear reactor. He has utilised various materials characterisation and mechanical testing techniques and finite element analysis to develop and evaluate the nuclear materials under the extreme environment. He now is the lead scientist in Australia to conduct an IAEA collabration research project, simulation and modelling neutron damage using ion beam irradiation for the future nuclear materials.
